Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains have an array of attractions, activities and adrenalin pumping adventures lined up for the Sunny Seasons that will be sure to keep you busy.

Fishing
Trout Fishing in the Snowy Mountains is regarded as the premier region in NSW and is one of the most popular activities in the Sunny Seasons. Keen anglers will already be aware that Lake Jindabyne is one of the country's top fishing destinations ... its waters regularly stocked with trout fingerlings by NSW Fisheries. Jindabyne Holiday Park provides some great spots for both experts and beginners to try their luck.

Bushwalking
If you enjoy a good walk or even a hike then the Snowy Mountains & Kosciuszko National Park offers some excellent alpine bushwalking with spectacular views for everyone. The Chair Lift and Walk to the top of Mount Kosciuszko is popular with the duration of a return walk varies with your level of fitness and which route you choose, but times may be from 3 to 7 hrs.

For the less adventurous, or even the passer by,
a summer trip on the Crackenback Chair lift is a must. It rises 595 metres from the valley floor over some dramatic scenery and at the top (where there's a restaurant) the views over the valleys and the ranges of the Snowy Mountains are spectacular.

For those determined to reach the top of the continent, the walk to the top of Mount Kosciuszko is a pleasant 12km (6km each way) .This is not a difficult walk and is suitable for most ages and fitness levels.

Maps and directions are available from reception . Regular guided tours are available during the walking season and they operate every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and the Main Range walk on Fridays.

Personal guides and full catering packages are available for groups through Thredbo. Also available by arrangement are sunset and sunrise walking tours.

Water sports
Lake Jindabyne is a great spot for canoeing and all water sports, including sailing, water skiing, wake boarding and wind surfing. The Australian Waterskiing Championships are held on Lake Jindabyne for an exciting spectator experience.
If you prefer the adrenalin pumping activities, be sure not to miss out on White Water Rafting on the rivers of the Snowy Mountains that pass through some of the most remote and beautiful areas of Kosciuszko National Park.
Or sit back and relax in a canoe and just enjoy the scenery along the riverbanks or lakes edge. Paddling a canoe or paddle boat is an ideal family activity.

Alpine Adventures
Australia's high country is home to spectacular peaks, clear mountain streams and a plethora of accessible natural attractions for lovers of the outdoors.

Horse riding, cycling, abseiling, mountain biking, climbing and caving are a few great ways to explore the alpine landscape in the sunny seasons. Our scenic roads and tracks will take you to some of the country's most impressive scenery and past historical villages rich in tales of the Man from Snowy River, gold rush days or the Snowy Scheme.
